Channel Marketing Manager Projects


We are looking for a Channel Marketing Manager with a proven track-record in B2B marketing and business development within an international context. In this role, you will be responsible for further developing and executing the Projects Channel strategy within the Northern European Business Area (NEBA: UK & Ireland, BENELUX and Nordic countries). 

The Projects Channel is complex and differs in every country. The Channel Marketing Manager will need a data driven and analytical approach to be successful. He / She will work closely with local Channel Management, sales, and channel communication. The Channel Marketing Manager will be the linking pin between (technical) product management and the channel. What are we selling , to whom and how?  The ideal candidate has a strong commercial drive and experience in market segmentation. He / she understands the complexity of the market and its stakeholders. 

Somfy offers a position in which you have responsibility and impact. The Channel Marketing Manager is used to developing and presenting business plans based on solid data analyses. He / she will report to the Channel Director Projects.   Focus area for Somfy is Smart Buildings; wellbeing, productivity and sustainability. 


  • Further develop channel strategy and follow-up in close cooperation with Channel Director Projects
  • Work closely with local Channel Management to implement strategy across NEBA (country roadmaps)
  • Executing cross-border marketing and business development initiatives, as well as overseeing local initiatives (UK & Ireland, BENELUX and Nordic countries)
  • Identify new growth opportunities (products, services, segments or routes to market)
  • Conduct market research (financial figures, technologies, trends, benchmarks, customers) to create market intelligence and do thorough analysis to drive the marketing plan
  • Define and manage the channel’s marketing plan in close cooperation with the relevant communications specialist and local country teams
  • Develop and communicate business plans for the channel
  • Represents Somfy as thought leader and further develops the market regarding solar shading solutions

Education & Background

  • Bachelor: marketing, economics, business administration or NIMA-B
  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B marketing (affinity with technical products) 
  • Proven success in developing a project channel;
  • Used to work in an international environment
  • Experience in matrix organization
  • Strong commercial skills and results driven
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
