Project Manager Supply Chain

Positie

The SC Support & Processes department is responsible for the maintenance and execution of the SC business and change agenda. The combined work of process management, project management and analytics will optimize our way of working and ensure to become more efficient and effective in driving change. These will also secure our standard way-of-working, as well on processes – as on our way of driving continuous improvement which we call BLUE. 

A Project Manager is part of the Support & Processes department and reports to the Manager SC Project Office. The Project Office manages projects initiated by SC Business Owners to help the SC reach its goals in cost, scalability and service levels. You are assigned to a Program Manager or work on stand-alone projects, together with specialists from Analytics, BLUE Excellence and Processes & Systems.

As a Project Manager you plan, execute, monitor, control and close projects assigned. You are responsible for delivering a project within agreed scope, time and budget. You run projects in close cooperation with SC Business Owners, acting as the bridge between them and cross functional teams tasked with execution. With projects on hand, you implement and secure a lasting change by actively managing all stakeholders, bring positive energy and be the link between SC departments. By doing so you make our SC future prove and resilient.

Responsibility

  • Define the project in terms of scope, time and budget. Create a business case stating the to be realized business benefits
  • Define phases and deliverables in time (statement of work), set up the project organization and define agreed acceptance criteria per phase 
  • Get approval to start the project from the approval body within Action. This will differ per project depending on budget and risks, ultimately ranging up to Executive Board approval
  • Deliver the project objectives, including changes in systems, processes, documentation, training and changes in staffing of business organization
  • Manage internal (sub)teams, third parties or vendors tasked with deliverables assigned
  • Manage the cut-over, go live (support), fall back and hand over to the business organization
  • Manage stakeholders and change needed for a successful completion and effective use of the project deliverables after hand over
  • Report on the status of scope, time and budget and manage scope change requests
  • Manage project risks and dependencies
Persoonlijk profiel
  • Minimum Bachelor degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within retail or trading companies
  • Advanced English in verbal and writing
  • Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SC related systems in planning, warehousing or transport is a pre

  • Have a clear view on key influencers and how to involve them in such a way that it benefits the project(results)
  • Be hard on content, soft on relations. Keep relations working with all stakeholders whilst at the same time stick to the agreed common goals and deadlines
