Position Marketing Director

The Marketing Director (Head of Marketing) will be managing a team of 25fte. With three direct reports, who are responsible for Trade (3 fte), Content & Digital (10 fte) and Customer (12 fte).

Manutan has been working hard to create a buyer-centric marketing organization. So have the marketing teams been working on brand awareness, activating of sites, pushing new products, round tables, creating traffic digitally and ensuring that the online buying process is a great experience.

But, Manutan is still in the middle of this change as a better alignment across the business needs to be made. Subjects like brand awareness, focus, data-centric, analytics, customer insight, agile, planning and managing of projects and clarity around their mission.


Purpose of the job

This is a great opportunity for someone who’s looking to stretch him- or herself and have a real career-defining impact in the world of marketing, branding and digital transformation. He or she will be given a lot of room to do whatever is required in order to drive Manutan through this transition yet. Executing that task requires a pragmatic Marketing Director with a helicopter view and a strong commercial and forward-looking approach who has the ability to think on a higher strategic level, too. Naturally, it also requires someone who is up for a big, exciting and innovating job.

  • 15+ years’ working experience in logistics (retail or FMCG) or high demanding environment.
  • 10+ years of experience in leading teams and take people into change.
  • Experienced Marketing Director, a generalist/people manager, who is able to deal with (changing) situations and to advise others and transform teams.
  • HBO Bachelor + / academic degree.
  • Experience in a matrix organization.
