Senior Supplier Program Manager
Do you have the desire and vision to leave your mark on how ASML works?
To revolutionize team mind-sets – not just by planning, implementing and monitoring new processes,
but by engaging people around a vision of Supplier Operational Excellence and LEAN,
and by providing space and choice to achieve their stretching targets?
Would you like to be the architect of a powerful transformation that will drive down
ASML’s cost of supply chain services year after year?
Supply Chain Management (SCM) is part of ASML’s industry-leading supply chain and responsible for ensuring material availability to ASML’s factories and customers. Their DNA contains customer focus, quality first mindset, concurrent engineering, virtual integration, acceleration of the supply chain and delivering creative solutions. Location is Veldhoven (near Eindhoven), The Netherlands. Occasional travel (~10-20%) within Europe and/or to Asia and USA is required. Check for more information at their website www.asml.com/scm
Being part of the Sector Supply Chain Management, the department Supplier Network Management (SNM) is ASML’s operational interface to its supply base and responsible for material availability for ASML’s factories and field locations. In today’s complex multi-tier supply chains, this is only possible by creating full transparency in the chains and flexibility at suppliers. SNM manages over 200 first tier suppliers and ~ 100 critical supply chains up to seven tiers deep, addressing potential bottlenecks and supply risks before they impact ASML’s customers.
It must handle the increased complexity of ASML’s systems while reducing cost of ownership for customers. To do this, the SNM Logistics & Quality Supplier Managers work with suppliers to continuously reduce cycle time for components, modules and assemblies, increasing parts quality and supply chain flexibility and customer RequisitionLocal. They drive longer term supplier development in to ensure ASML’s supply base keeps pace with technological developments and can adapt to changing market conditions.
The Senior Supplier Program Manager ensures proper delivery of some of their key programs on time, delegating leadership of projects to project managers. You connect the dots between the various projects inside Supply Chain Management and ASML to identify synergies and resolve conflicts. You work with the other teams in SNM e.g. to go to the gemba and visit suppliers. Monitor and report the progression of the programs and initiate improvement actions when needed. You own the performance management system, lead the team of business analysts and drive operational improvements through this.
Essentially, you will be responsible for 1 or 2 of our supplier capability improvement programs. Example programs are:
- Implementation of LEAN principles and de-coupling in their network of 200 suppliers
- Supplier parts quality improvement towards automotive quality levels (500ppm).
- Collaborative planning
You will shape the Supply Chain programs together with key stakeholders in the RequisitionLocal chain. You will deliver measurable impact in parts quality, availability and cost. Given ASML’s future growth, this position is an excellent landing-spot for talents coming from other sectors in ASML or outside ASML.
You have a relevant Master degree (e.g business administration, industrial engineering, production engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering).
To achieve all this you will need 3-5 years of first-hand experience in LEAN, program management, as a well as a leadership position in an operations/supply chain environment preferably or 8-10 years of experience at a 1st tier consultancy firm. ASML is looking for someone that can bring in thought leadership in Supplier Quality management from other industries.
To be successful in this challenging position you need excellent communication skills (English and Dutch preferred), motivate and inspire colleagues across multiple sectors within ASML.
