TKD KABEL GmbH is a company engaged in the development and sale of standard and special cables, ready-to-connect cable systems, and cable accessories. In August 2019 the TKD Group became part of the Cable Connectivity Group, headquartered in the Netherlands. This group has roughly 600 employees worldwide and established herself as one of the leading companies in the cable industry. The group consists of three Business Units: Production, Distribution, and Assembly. TKD is part of the Business Unit ‘Distribution’.


Cable Connectivity Group

The Cable Connectivity Group is a progressive and international player in the market for specialty cables and connectivity solutions. The company manufactures, distributes, and assembles special cables and cable harnesses and accessories. Within CCG there are 3 business units or Business Units:


  • Production: the production of a wide range of specialty cables in Italy with customers all over Europe.
  • Distribution: value-added trading company in cables and accessories for wholesalers and OEM customers in Germany, the Netherlands, China, Italy, and Poland from various locations.
  • Assembly: a customer-specific assembly of connectivity solutions for OEM customers in the Netherlands and Germany.

The total group employs approximately 600 people in 6 countries (the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Poland, China, and France) with a turnover of EUR 180m.


Dutch connectivity specialists

The Distribution company in the Netherlands, together with the companies Jobarco, Pantaflex, and Elspec, is active in the trade of cables and accessories (connectors, glands, energy chains, protective hoses, etc.) and the implementation of connectivity solutions for local authorities and energy companies.


In the coming years, the ambition is to grow the turnover of existing and new customers by identifying specific customer segments in which the company is strong and building a leading position in them. Thanks to the many years of experience and knowledge that is present within the Dutch team, as well as the complete product range of the international group, the organization is on the eve of a new growth impulse.



The Buyer will be part of a new purchase organization within the CCG Group to support the strategic sourcing activities within the portfolio of cable brands of Jobarco and Pantaflex in the Netherlands and TKD in Germany.


The Buyer is responsible for conducting the purchasing quotation process and for improving and maintaining the performance of suppliers in terms of delivery, services, and quality. He reaches his goals with a professional work style and experience while using appropriate tools for efficient supplier management.


He is responsible for the regular processing of RFQs supporting our sales teams in their offer process, finding alternative products, and competitive sources.
A good technical and market knowledge in cables is necessary to select appropriate suppliers for quotations. Based on this knowledge he is providing new sourcing opportunities and propose new potential partner suppliers.


In close cooperation with the operative buyers, he is regularly providing and improving supplier master data like lead times or MOQs. The Buyer is a new role within the CCG Group and offers a lot of potential for a result-driven person with a team-player and collaborative mentality. The Buyer reports directly to the COO of the Group to underline the importance of that new role.



  • Conduct RFQs
  • Identify saving potentials
  • Do regular offer comparisons and challenge existing suppliers for pricing
  • Provide supplier scorecards on selected suppliers and set operational targets
  • Act as a negotiator on selected suppliers for improving performances
  • Identify new suppliers based on RFQs and deliver experiences
  • Initiate and monitor improvements at suppliers in case of problems in operative purchasing
  • Support operative purchasers due to performance reasons for suppliers
  • Provide supplier data like lead times and MOQs


Personal profile

  • 3 years of experience in sourcing of technical products, preferred in the cable industry
  • Experience in working in a cross-functional business environment
  • Track record of leading successful commercial negotiations
  • Ability to work independently in a structured manner with a hands-on mentality
  • Open and clear in communication
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Experience in identifying sourcing opportunities, new suppliers
  • Knowledge and experience in the state of the art purchasing processes and tools
  • Good technical understanding
