The Supply Chain Inbound department is responsible for an optimal efficient and cost effective flow of commercial goods from supplier to DC and consists of (i) SC Import (Sea Freight), (ii) Cross dock, (iii) Hub and (iv) Consolidated Freight Stations (CFS). The department takes care of developing a multi-layer network for Action with Hubs, Cross docks and Consolidation Freight Stations (CFS) and is responsible for the operation of the inbound logistics network by developing, implementing and optimizing the partnerships, processes and people for Hubs, Cross docks, CFS and in the inbound logistics network as a whole. As such Inbound Logistics develops, organizes, controls and procures all sea freight for Action. The latter with help of procurement.
