The Group IT Manager is based in the headquarters of Burg Group in Heerhugowaard in The Netherlands. The position covers IT management for the full group and has therefore a strong international character.
All Group operating sites use a centrally managed IT environment, using JD Edwards as ERP system. Application management and office automation are also centrally managed.
The Group IT Manager leads the Information technology function within Burg Group. Shapes the company’s IT strategy and ensures that all systems necessary to support its operations and strategic objectives are in place.

In 1947, Cees Bakker acquired the vinegar plant Groenland en Zn and changed the name to De Burg. In the following decades, the company experienced rapid growth, resulting in the current production locations: Burg Azijn (NL), Burg Siroop (NL), Burg Vinegar Belgium (BE), Burg Vinaigres France (FR), Burg Ocet(CZ) and Burg Essig (DE). At these six locations, Burg Group produces vinegar for food, cleaning vinegar and fruit syrups. In 2022, over 375 million liters of natural vinegar, vinegar-related products and syrups were produced. With their consumer products they mainly serve the private label market in more than 30 countries worldwide, along with the products under their own (brand) name. Currently, the third generation of the Bakker family co-owns the company.
